Ashley is one of the newest staff members in the office, and she spends most of her time at the front desk greeting patients and scheduling appointments. She graduated from the dental assisting program at  Virginia Western Community College in 2007.  Her hobbies are spending time with her young daughter, decorating her first home, and playing with her dog, Chloe and cat, Meow Meow.  Ashley says she enjoys working with each and every staff member, and likes meeting all the patients.

Cyndi has been assisting Dr. McCorkle with putting braces on patients for 24 years.  She is a graduate of the Virginia Western Community College program in dental assisting.   Her hobbies are flower gardening, landscaping, reading, horseback riding, motorcycle (HD) riding, swimming in her salt water pool, and refinishing antiques.  She has always enjoyed her job here:  she likes working with the patients and developing relationships with them.  She says that seeing the end results is very gratifying.

Gina has been an orthodontic technician since 1980 (taking a small break to try the jewelry business) and has been with Dr. McCorkle for 15 years.  Gina’s hobbies are taking care of her family, developing salt water fish aquariums, collecting fossilized sharks’ teeth, shopping, fine jewelry, and cooking.  She says she really loves her job and the other staff she works with.  She hopes to "work with Dr. McCorkle for many more years, giving our patients beautiful smiles."

Joyce answers many of the financial questions patients have in the front office.  She is a long time staff member here.  Her hobbies are flower gardening, listening to music, spending time with her family, and antiquing. She also loves to go to yard sales.  She is married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. 

Kay has worked for Dr. McCorkle for almost 26 years.  She helps patients with their insurance and schedules appointments. She enjoys talking to patients and their families.  Her hobbies are fishing, playing pool, and enjoying the horse, llama, 2 goats, 3 guinea hens, and many chickens that she and her husband own.  She explains that they don’t eat any of those chickens, but just collect their eggs!  Kay has 2 daughters, and 2 grandchildren with one more on the way, in addition to her loving husband of almost 38 years.

You will see Melina assisting "chair side" if you come to the office.  (This means that she is one of the staff members in the room with all the chairs helping put on the braces!)  Melina enjoys tennis, singing, listening to music, playing the guitar, and family time.  She volunteers singing in her church choir, which at times has taken her to New York and Carnegie Hall.  She says she loves what she does here at the office, where she started working in 1989.  She is a graduate of the Virginia Western Community College program in dental assisting. 

Pattie has been with Dr. McCorkle over 22 years.  She works on patients"chair side," and enjoys getting to know their interests.  Her hobbies are gardening, cooking, and being with her family.  Pattie and her husband Allen have a 1937 Street Rod and like going to car shows.  She enjoys working with Dr. McCorkle, and the rest of the staff, who get along well together.  That "makes it easy to come to work every day."

Tiffany is another new member of the staff and assists chair side with putting on braces.  She graduated from the dental assisting program at Virginia Western Community College several years ago.  Her hobbies are shopping and dancing.  She is happily married and a native Virginian.  Tiffany says she enjoys the communication she and the rest of the staff have with the patients.
